Eastern Province Advances Clean Energy Data Collection in Vubwi District

The second phase of Measuring, Reporting, and Verification-MRV to capture rainy season wood-fuel consumption data (charcoal and firewood) for the cold season is progressing well in Vubwi District.

This activity is being implemented under the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme-EP-JSLP, which aims to reduce Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use-AFOLU emissions by promoting energy-efficient wood-fuel technologies.

During a routine monitoring visit, the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) visited Mbozi, Songea, Nyombo, and Matemba areas in Vubwi District to track progress.

The MRV data collection exercise is ongoing and expected to be completed in the next few days.
