Field Ready for Climate Impact

The Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme (EP-JSLP), with support from the World Bank, has officially commenced the Cold Season Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Energy Data Collection exercise following a successful orientation of district teams in Chadiza.
Led by Eastern Province Principal Forest Officer Catherine Zulu, the provincial MRV team equipped district enumerators with practical skills in using the new mobile data collection application and reinforced Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) standards to ensure accurate, consistent and verifiable data collection.

The orientation emphasized the importance of high-quality data in strengthening the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system, supporting credible emissions reduction results, and improving livelihoods for communities across Eastern Province.
With the teams now fully prepared and confident in the use of digital tools, the exercise is set to deliver reliable data that will contribute to climate resilience, sustainable landscape management and results-based emissions reductions.
