Chipata EP-JSLP Radio Talk Shows Hit the Airwaves!
The ChipataEP-JSLP-supported Radio Talk Shows commenced on Monday, providing a platform to engage farmers, communities and stakeholders on sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.
During the inaugural programme, Ms. Mwila Ng’ambi, District Project Officer responsible for Chipata and Chipangali, outlined the EP-JSLP objectives, key interventions, and the ministries and partners involved in implementation.
The interactive session also addressed concerns from listeners. Responding to a question from Mr. Sakala of Chipangali, Ms. Ng’ambi explained that reducing unnecessary expansion of cultivated fields does not mean compromising farmers’ productivity or household food security. Instead, the programme promotes sustainable practices that can improve productivity while protecting forests and other natural resources.
