Chiefdom Voices for Conservation Launched in Eastern Province

The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, through EP-JSLP and in partnership with COMACO, has officially launched the 2026 Chiefdom Voices for Conservation radio programme across all 56 chiefdoms in Eastern Province.

The initiative gives traditional leaders a platform to promote climate action, forest conservation, GHG emission reduction, and sustainable land-use practices.

Launched live on Breeze FM, the programme strengthens collaboration between government, chiefs, and conservation partners to combat deforestation, promote Climate Smart Agriculture, and support community livelihoods.

Traditional leaders, EP-JSLP, COMACO, and partners reaffirmed their commitment to working together to protect forests, reduce emissions, and ensure conservation benefits reach local communities.

Where traditional leadership, conservation, and community futures meet.
