Kazonde Primary School Embraces Clean Energy Solutions Through EP-JSLP Initiative
The Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme (EP-JSLP) monitoring team continued the Cold Season Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) Energy Data Collection exercise at Kazonde Primary School in Lumezi District.
The exercise focused on assessing the use of efficient cookstoves and energy practices at the school to support the collection of credible data for the MRV system.
The adoption of improved cooking technologies contributes to reduced fuelwood consumption, lower emissions, and the promotion of sustainable energy solutions within learning institutions and surrounding communities.
Through initiatives such as these, EP-JSLP continues to strengthen climate-smart practices, support sustainable landscape management, and contribute to efforts aimed at reducing emissions while improving community resilience.
