Measuring Reporting and Verification (MRV) Energy Data Collection for wood fuel consumption is Underway Across Eastern Province
The second phase of Measuring, Reporting and Verification-MRV to capture rainy season energy use data on wood-fuel consumption (Charcoal and Firewood) for the cold season has officially commenced across all 15 districts of Eastern Province.
The activity is being implemented under the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme, which aims to reduce Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use-AFOLU emissions through the promotion of energy-efficient wood fuel utilisation technologies.
During a routine monitoring visit in Katete District, the Project Implementation Unit-PIU visited Mukwamba Village, located in Chief Mbang’ombe Chiefdom.
The MRV data collection exercise is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed within the next 12 days.
