Stakeholders Chart Way Forward for Sustainable Management of Lundazi National Forest
Eastern Province Assistant Secretary, Mr. Clement Chilembo, graces the wrap-up meeting on the Management of Lundazi National Forest held at Protea hotel in Chipata under the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme-EP-JSLP .
Mr.Chilembo applauded participants from government institutions and cooperating partners for developing practical recommendations to address the challenges facing the Lundazi National Forest under the Lundazi NF Restoration Mission.
The meeting brought together key institutions that made presentations on forest governance, conservation, financing, and community engagement.
These included the Biodiversity Conservation Programme-BCP, Community Markets for Conservation-COMACO, Tobbaco Board of Zambia-TBZ, Public–Private Partnership-PPP partners, Zambia Environmental Management Agency-ZEMA, Department of National Parks and Wildlife-DNPW, and the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme-EP-JSLP.
Their presentations informed the discussions and contributed to the recommendations agreed upon during the meeting.
