Strengthening Climate-Smart Agriculture in Eastern Province
At Kaozi Farmer Field School in Chama District, the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme is driving forward Climate-Smart Agriculture-CSA interventions aimed at improving productivity and resilience among smallholder farmers.
EP-JSLP Communications Officer Creavat Chituta, together with Eastern Province Provincial Agricultural Information Officer Chisombu Dyaunka, led the NAIS team in documenting and sharing ongoing CSA activities in the district promoting information exchange and strengthening farmer outreach.
Demonstration plots at Kaozi Farmer Field School showcase healthy maize, soya beans, and sunflower crops, reflecting the uptake of improved farming technologies and sustainable agronomic practices.
