CHADIZA COMMUNITIES STEP UP THE FIGHT AGAINST DEFORESTATION!
More than 30 community-based Honorary Forest Officers in Chadiza District have undergone a four-day training on forest conservation and law enforcement.
The training, which is part of the Eastern Province Jurisdiction Sustainable Landscape Programme, was officially opened by District Agriculture Coordinator Ziko KAHENGE on behalf of Acting District Commissioner Masauso Mwale.
Mr. KAHENGE says the Forestry Department cannot tackle deforestation alone and is calling for active community participation.
