39 HFOs TRAINED TO BOOST FOREST PROTECTION IN MAMBWE
The Forest Department has trained 39 Honorary Forest Officers (HFOs) from Kasenengwa and Lumezi in forest conservation, law enforcement and community forest governance.
Seven women took part in the four-day training, highlighting efforts to promote inclusive participation in forest management.
The training, supported by the Eastern Province Jurisdictional Sustainable Landscape Programme (EPJSLP), aims to strengthen forest monitoring, protect ecosystems and support carbon emission reduction efforts.
